In early 2000, Holly Springs School for Early Education‘s founder and curriculum director, Kate Collins Newton, saw a great need for quality child care and early childhood education; one that wasn’t commercialized and outrageously priced—one that really met the needs of the Holly Springs community.

Mrs. Newton, after having received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Child Psychology with a K-6 certification, and her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood from UNC in 2006, put her vision into motion.

Impassioned by her desire to educate children, provide quality care and be a trustworthy resource for Holly Spring parents—the doors of Holly Springs School for Early Education were opened to the public.

You will still see Mrs. Newton on site involved in classrooms, training teachers, and assisting with the many activities that go on at the school.

We are committed to our children, their families and our community.  Our family-centered atmosphere allows us the opportunity to get to know everyone who enters our school.   We understand our parents’ scheduling needs, as reflected in our school’s hours (Monday-Friday 6:30a-6:00p).

Our parents are an essential component in our school’s success. Communication with them is not only important but also vital. As partners, we share in the growth and educational expansion.  Holly Springs School of Early Education has an open door policy that allows parents to visit or tour the school without an appointment.

Holly Springs School for Early Education is a premier childcare destination where child safety is taken seriously. Our facilities are equipped with the latest in child safety technology, ensuring your child is always secure and protected.

Our entrance is locked, and parents are able to enter using a designated Key Fob. All guests are checked for ID and escorted through the building. All children's information consists of authorized people for pick up. Each classroom is recorded daily using a closed-circuit monitoring system.

Our teachers practice the required monthly fire drills along with quarterly safety practices for other emergencies. Each teacher is equipped with a "Ready to go bag" which contains all items needed for offsite evacuation. Each teacher has a complete background check before hire and has certifications in First Aid, CPR, Playground Safety, SIDS, along with 10 hours of Health and Safety Training.
